Whether you’re stopping in for a casual glass of wine, meeting with friends for small plates, or looking for a night with some lively entertainment, Swirl on the Square Inc creates an environment that feels both inclusive and elegant.
Owner Michelle Braatz founded Swirl on the Square, a local Livermore wine bar and tapas lounge, 16 years ago, and has been at the corner of Railroad and Livermore Ave ever since. Over the years, Swirl has become a community staple, partnering with various local organizations, including Livermore Pride, to put on community nights, drag shows, open mics, and more. Along with its location at the historic Blacksmith Square, the elegant, stylish lounge and regular live entertainment make for the perfect night out.
Swirl is an avid supporter of Livermore Pride because they believe that everyone deserves a safe and inclusive environment to come enjoy on nights out. Swirl’s commitment to inclusion goes beyond words, regularly hosting the event “Queer Cheers” on the first Wednesday of every month, a social gathering space in which queer folks and allies of all identities are welcome to gather and create community. As Owner Michell says, “I hope that when people visit Swirl, they realize that this is a great place to come on a date no matter who you’re with!”
