WildCard Collective

Walk into WildCard Collective and you will find much more than a bookstore.

Located in Second Street Mall in Downtown Livermore, WildCard Collective brings together books, apparel, gifts, events, and plenty of personality. But what stands out most is the intention behind the space: creating a place where people can find themselves represented and feel welcome.

“We’re allies,” Owner Elizabeth states. She describes the store as a place that strives “to be inclusive and represent everybody out there.”

That commitment shows up throughout the store. WildCard Collective intentionally seeks out products and vendors that reflect a range of identities and experiences, highlighting BIPOC and queer creators. The result is a collection that feels personal, colorful, and distinctly different from what you might find in a more traditional bookstore.

For WildCard, representation isn't limited to the books on the shelves. It can be found in the artwork, apparel, gifts, and the small details throughout the store. There are products that celebrate queer identity, feminism, individuality, and all the wonderfully specific things that make people who they are.

We can’t emphasize enough importance of having a space like this in Livermore, a place where people can come in and know that they are welcome.

WildCard Collective has embraced Livermore Pride and is supporting in a special way with Pride merchandise and opportunities to support Pride right in the store. As the Elizabeth says, “Why wouldn’t you want to support everybody, and coolest people in town honestly.”

Visitors can find Pride tees and stickers in the store. Just scan the QR code and donate. It is a simple way to turn a visit to a local business into support for the LGBTQ+ community.

For WildCard Collective, being part of Pride is clearly about more than putting a rainbow in the window. It is about creating a space where people can find books that reflect them, products that make them smile, and a community that tells them they belong.
